Custom Software Development

Do you need a computer program written for your specific needs?
Been quoted thousands of dollars for custom software?
Got a great idea for a program but can't get anyone to write it?
Off-the-shelf software doesn't quite cut it?

We can build your custom application for FREE in some cases!

What is custom software?

Custom software is computer software that is written specifically for you or your organization. Every aspect of the software is tailored to your specific needs. The result is an application that does exactly what you need it to and nothing else. No un-necessary data entry, no hunting through complex menu's looking for that particular function, everything you need at your fingertips, minimal staff re-training and lower cost!

"Why should you change the way you work to suit the computer system? Have the computer made to work the way you do!"
When new computer systems are introduced they usually require that staff undergo extra training to learn the new system. But it doesn't have to be that way. If the computer system is designed well your staff should need minimal training. The new computer system should resemble your existing computer or paper based system as closely as possible. Invoice and data entry forms should look similar so you and your staff are instantly familiar with them.

How can custom software be less expensive?

Firstly, off-the-shelf software is incredibly expensive these days. Ten years ago, software accounted for about one third of the total cost of a computer system. Today that situation is reversed with software accounting for around two thirds of the cost. Hardware has continued to fall in price while software has continued to rise.

Secondly, custom software is designed specifically for your needs so you're only paying for what you're actually going to use.

Thirdly, custom software is modelled on your existing work practices and emulates them as closely as possible. This means less re-training for your staff and lower software support costs.

Finally, most of our custom applications don't need the latest hardware to run so you're not forced into buying all new hardware.

They're just some of the reasons, when you really think about it I'm sure you'll find many more.

We retain all rights to the software & potential income. In other words, we take the risk and develop the software, you pay a per licence fee. So you get custom software for off-the-shelf prices. If it's highly specialised and there's no market for it, or if you want to keep it to yourself, we will quote at very reasonable rates.
